About

George Sava heads Port & Sava’s Commercial Litigation and Sports & Entertainment Groups. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in both New York State Courts and New York Federal District Courts. George specifically handles litigation involving tens of millions of dollars in claims. As part of his practice, George has also successfully argued before various appellate courts of the state of New York to include New York State’s highest Court, the New York Court of Appeals on behalf of one of the firm’s Federal Bank clients.

Since as recently as the year 2021, George has obtained via settlement, Court decision and trial verdict over forty-four million dollars ($44,000,000.00) for his litigation clients.

George also represents prominent professional athletes, sports associations, and film and music production companies. As part of his entertainment practice, he has successfully negotiated numerous high-level sports and film agreements.

George obtained his juris doctorate degree from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and has practiced law for over twenty-six years.

From 1998 to 2008, Mr. Sava held a commission as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve, where he was qualified to practice as a Judge Advocate. A veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, his service culminated as the Acting Staff Judge Advocate for a Combat Zone Theater of Operation, the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa.
